An Update on Daisy
Here is an update on our beloved Daisy:
On Saturday February 24th, Daisy’s condition was not improving with the first set of antibiotics and the decision was made to put an IV port in to start a different set of antibiotics.
As you know, we sent out a plea for donations to help with her medical expenses and we want to thank those that made donations. It is greatly appreciated at a time when our facility is the slowest.
Last night, Kathy & I received a visit from the local Combat Veterans Chapter. Some of these members had attended our “Pathfinders Veterans Workshop” and shared stories of the impact that our program had on their lives.
Each participant had their own unique story of how Daisy had helped them and that is why they were here ... to honor her.
We know our work is important, but sometimes we don’t realize the true impact it has on others. Last night helped reaffirm the importance Stable Connections has on the community and the lasting impact on the individuals we help.
We are very humbled and honored that this organization made a $4,000 donation to help with Daisy’s medical expenses. We can’t begin to thank this organization enough.
