About Stable Connections
Stable Connections, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charitable organization located in Guildhall, Vermont that has been offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning since 2009. It is the only EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) certified facility in northern New Hampshire and Vermont.
Our Mission is to provide opportunities for education, as well as emotional and physical growth through equine assisted activities and therapies. Our focus as a business is on wellness: quality mental health counseling, therapeutic horsemanship and educational opportunities.
The COVID 19 crisis, economic pressures and social turmoil of recent months have led to widespread emotional and psychological overload as well as intensified underlying issues for many people. The physical and social isolation caused by the pandemic has increased the need for additional mental health therapeutic services.
Our work, for the most part, is conducted outside and not in the confines of an office or in front of a screen. Our environment easily meets requirements for physical distancing while still being therapeutic and positively impacting participants both mentally and emotionally. We believe that success is measured not only by the number of people we help, but also in the quality of help provided and the improvement made by each participant.

Our treatment team uses interactions between people and horses to foster personal growth and explore group dynamics. Participants experience interactions in the arena, and are empowered by the lessons learned through discussion, tactile translation and emotional processing. They then take that positive energy, attitude, and behavior when they return to the workplace, the family or school. These innovative programs provide a unique hands-on experience and gives real-time feedback.
