The Equine Team at Stable Connections

Our horses are an integral part of our team at Stable Connections. We actually do very little talking during our sessions. Instead, our facilitating team lets our clients interact with the horses. Horses are naturally great mirrors!

They reflect back a client’s behaviors, and true changes and results occur when clients realize they have the power to change themselves and therefore the world around them.

Blaze

An 18-year old Quarter Horse that has become the protector of the big horses, nothing comes into the pasture without Blaze checking it out. He's blind in his left eye, but his disability doesn't stop him. He is our go-to horse for beginning riders and EAL activities with older students and veterans.

Nicky

Our newest horse is a 5-year old Rocky Mountain mare named Nicky that has had a very rocky start to her life. At 2 years old, she suffered significant trauma to both of her back legs, and was thankfully rescued from a terrible situation. Despite her past, Nicky is a very loving and curious mare, always willing to learn new things.

Chief

An easy going 18-year old retired pulling pony, Chief is Harley's best friend and stall mate. Greeting newcomers to the pasture, Chief loves kisses on his muzzle. If you don’t pay attention to him in the arena, he might try to go in between the boards and pony pasture to rejoin his friends.
